Devonshire Sketches

Scenes in and around a quiet Devonshire village are portrayed in this collection for piano four hands. The five movements are all tonal, melodic, and simple to play; very suitable for blossoming youngsters to perform with their teacher or another pupil. It starts with a Country Walk leading gently into the peaceful atmosphere of Stoke Woods. Then it's Harvest Time with a happy, lilting melody before arriving, with slow, somber reflection, In a Country Churchyard. Finally, a celebration in The Village Inn provides folksy music reminiscent of morris dancers on the village green outside.
