Diablo drives with a fiery melody reminiscent of pieces such as Khachaturian's Saber Dance or Brahms's Hungarian Dance Number 5. It is scored for 10 players (Bells, Xylophone, Vibraphone, Chimes, 2 Marimbas, Timpani and 3 Battery). Your mallet instruments are featured as the melody gets handed from player to player. The other parts accompany with a fast eighth-note and sixteenth-note feel through the body of the piece working towards a strong triplet finish. Could work as an opener or a closer to your concert. Fun stuff!
