Dichotomy

Dichotomy is about complicated emotions during a big change in my life. It embodies a mental dance between potential positive and negative narratives of my future. There are multiple instances of two unrelated musical devices such as harmony and texture that have an odd oscillating nature. In some ways, I was inspired by clarinet excerpts from Prokofiev's Peter and the Wolf that depict a moody and frantic cat.
