Includes: Tyrannosaurus Rex, heralded as the king he once was with a trumpet fanfare, he marches menacingly in C minor through the prehistoric forest, Form: intro ABA coda; Pteranodon, although not a dinosaur, but a flying reptile that lived in this period, is a haunting melody in E harmonic minor w/melody in RH supported by arpeggios in LH. B section arpeggios sweep over the piano. Form:ABA; Brontosaurus lumbering through this same Jurassic forest uses answering open fifths between the hands and at times answered by RH breaking up triad, , begins both hands in bass clef, Form: ABA coda, the coda represents chase as he valiantly tries to escape being the lunch of Tyrannosaurus by running into the nearest lake at the end (Tyrannosaurs doesnt like to go swimming), this ends in a sweeping glissando; Stegosaurus, is in a fun mood and dances to a Latin rhythm in part, with hands in unison in intro, the LH takes the melody in A section, allowing RH to have it in B section, Form: intro ABA coda, in B harmonic minor.
