Liberation of Kharkiv, written in early October 2022, is a reaction to
  the heroic counteroffensive by Ukraines armed forces launched in late
  September 2022 as part of the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict. It is also a
  sort of sequel to Prayer for Peace (2022). The melody, as it unfolds, is
  representative of Ukraines forces nearing their goal and as we finally hear
  the full realization of the melody at rehearsal G we reach the moment of
  liberation. Though this is not the end, as each fight continues into the next
  and each victory, though joyous, is but one part of a larger offensive.

    to the tragedy as it continues to unfold on international news. The piece,
  a simple prayer, is
    
    offered as a brief moment of solace in the wake of the senseless aggression
  and atrocities being
    
    committed. It is my hope that this piece might touch those affected, and
  encourage us all to offer
    
    up a simple Prayer for Peace.

Nocturne for Double Bass and Piano is a high-energy piece that, despite
  its intent as a solo for double bass, often acts as an engaging,
  collaborative duet between the two instruments. The runtime of 5 minutes
  contains an extended, unaccompanied bass solo as well as several soloistic
  piano excerpts all with varying time signatures and shifting rhythmic
  patterns that keep listeners engaged. Nocturne showcases a wide range on the

The Tinkerer was inspired by gnomish engineers, or "Tinkers"
  from works of fantasy. Imagine a workshop, with moving parts integrated into
  nearly every available object, and amidst the mechanical clatter of this
  space, we find our tinkerer at a worktable. This tinkerer, as he diligently
  works to finish his latest invention becomes lost, almost in a daydream-like
  state amidst the idea of this invention coming to life at last. Throughout
  this piece, you will hear a constant pulse that represents the mechanical
  nature of the tinker's workspace. You will also hear minor distractions that
  attempt to deter our tinker's mind. After all, distractions are the hardest
  thing for any creative individual, to fight when finishing a project.
