Don't Be That Way

This is one of the classic Nelson Riddle arrangements recorded by Ella Fitzgerald for the 1961 album "Ella Swings Brightly with Nelson." This arrangement was modified in the studio to begin with Ella singing along with the rhythm section for a full chorus. This publication includes that change but also the original introduction that Riddle wrote so that you have the option of performing the chart as written or as performed. The vocal key is A-flat throughout and there are no saxophone doubles. The included string parts are optional as they are not a main part of the arrangement; however, an optional synthesizer part is included that may be used in place of the strings.
