Don't Miss the Bus

Plays easy and sounds cool! That's the perfect combination found in this carefully crafted, medium swing, blues tune for younger jazz groups. It riffs right along with a cool jazz sound. The trumpets and trombones take the lead, with the saxes providing interesting counter lines. Then several bars of full ensemble lead to an open solo section for any instrument over simple blues changes, giving young players the opportunity to improvise. If they aren't quite ready for that yet, suggested solos are provided. After the solos, the trombones, tenors and bari sax get to shine playing some fun unison licks that lead back to the whole band playing a big finish.
