Duo Dichotomy

Duo Dichotomy is a beautiful solo for unaccompanied marimba. Listen for the dichotomies of the piece that are the two central tonalities and the contrast between five-note and four-note rhythms. These two dichotomies merge at the end of the work with a five-over-four rhythm and a G-flat compromise between the two keys. A wonderful recital or contest piece for the medium-advanced player!
