This work from the mid '90s was considered lost and has only recently
been restored and expanded for full band.
The title is the Greek word for church and the piece exploits the
literal definition of the word, called out ones, in a series of episodes
unfolding as a fanfare, chorale, counterpoint and epilogue. It calls for extreme ranges in many parts
and has four flute parts, including alto flute.
