Emerge II

"Emerge II" has a touch of energy from rock, blues, post minimalism, and perhaps a little Beethoven too. The string orchestra rides on lush textures and syncopations through a chord progression also used in pop rock, a song that predates this or the last century - "Rising Sun Blues" or "The House of the Rising Sun." Since living in the Southern States, I have lost count how many times or versions of the song I have heard - churches, radio, store speakers, etc. - at least a lot more than the couple of times I remember hearing it (not the South). So, this is my artistic version, a version colored by the insane popularity I have observed. A version marked by my own energetic sound - no voices, just strings; recognizable by the embers (a chord progression) that emerges.
