English Renaissance Suite

Numerous transcriptions and arrangements have come from the Fitzwilliam Virginal Book. Though written for the Virginal, a keyboard instrument preceding the Harpsichord, many of the wonderful pieces lie within the capability of modern wind ensembles. Three of these have been scored in this transcription for Woodwind Quintet. The middle movement requires the hornist to play a drum or tambourine. The variety offered will keep an audience entertained. (Duration – about 5:00)
