For the first time for a concert band! The classic solo baritone lieder is now arranged for your band. The Erlkonig is a haunting tale of an evil spirit trying to take a sick boy's life. The entire piece is the dialogue between a solo oboe, solo trumpet, solo French horn, and solo alto saxophone, supported by the rest of the band. The four solo instruments take the different roles of the vocalist, while the rest of the band is the piano accompaniment, with added percussion for an even larger dramatic effect! A great addition for an even more diverse concert!
