In 2023, a Tumblr user by the username of sketiana wrote, "i said 'explain physics to me like youre in love with me' and after a while of quiet he went 'everything sings'. so i get it now." This post is the main inspiration for this piece alongside a Scientific American article titled "Supermassive Black Hole Sings for Its Supper", written by Sarah Graham in 2003.
