Fantasia on Silent Night

Franz Gruber's famous Christmas melody is the subject of this colorful and romantic adaptation.  Interweaving fanciful jazz harmony with a touch of passionate dissonance, this fantasia explores the wide variety of flavors available to the concert band.  While not too technically challenging, it does provide your players with an exercise in effective ensemble performance.
