Fantasia y Baile

Fantasia y Baile is a virtuosic work based off many genres and forms that have influenced Parga in both his compositional style and taste in music. In this piece, you will find influence of not only classical music, but of Latin music as well, as they both create a unique and challenging setting of music. One of the primary influences of the playing style is the requinto found within the Latin music style, the Bolero, due to its natural affinity towards virtuosic technique and performances. Due to this, the style lends itself exceptionally to other complex forms of music such as the fantasia, sonata, and fugue.
