This piece started off as a percussion piece at first with the idea of everything moving so quickly, but I started messing around with chords and small melodic chunks. Because of the fact that this was supposed to be a percussion piece, it is very percussive heavy. With that being said even though everything is doubled or even tripled throughout the entire band the point was just to make it easy enough for flex instrumentation. For example if you don't have any bassoon players then the part is played by either bass clarinet or baritone saxophone etc.. I hope you and your band enjoy playing this piece as much as I did writing it!
