The nature of this piece is such that there are various contrasting moods. Similar to that of a sculptor (or any artist really) that may come to a creation at different days and times, with different moods or attitudes. As artists, we come to a piece we are working on, and we may not feel the same about it each and every session (at least, this has been my experience over the years). This change in mood affects the end product.
Feat Of Clay embraces this idea. The endeavor of working with clay is fun, perhaps intimidating, intense, but overall exhilarating. If you keep working on your project with faith and perseverance, the end product will be great; no matter if you fully plan everything out, or not. The idea is to keep working to see where it goes; this is the feat of clay.
