This complete set of Bach's three-part inventions, also know as his
Sinfonia, was arranged for violin, viola, and cello from Bach's 1723
manuscript, which represented his final intentions. This collection is unique
in that it is a "clean" transcription, leaving the performers free
to interpret tempo, articulation, and phrasing as their counterparts did
three hundred years ago. Also, its performance level is designated
Medium-Advanced given the varying challenges of each piece.
