"Firelight Dreaming" is a slow, lyrical piece that works for the holiday season or anytime. It is the fifth tune in my new series. "Tiered Tunes" is a new type of young band arrangement designed specifically to appropriately challenge all members of a band despite a wide variation of skills levels. All tiers are included for all instruments.
Tier 1 in this one uses only the "first six" pitches, but does require eighth notes in various patterns. The range and independence of the other two parts are suitable for second and third year players and should sharpen their ears for blend, balance, and phrase shaping.
