Flute and Onions (Wind Quintet and Narrator)

Musical setting of the poem, "Music" by Amy Lowell, which can be read on second page of the score. In brief, woman lying in bed hears beautiful flute playing at night imagines a handsome, well-dressed man, but is disillusioned the next morning to see through her window the fat bald player eating onions. The music features beautiful flute passages, humorous depiction of the player, and a romantic waltz depicting preferred image. Duration: 6 minutes. Audio clip is computer generated and has gaps where narration should take place. Parts for each instrument include text cues of the narration showing when to play.
