Thinking of what I would have liked to have played (besides Telemann and Loeillet) as an Intermediate flute player, I've put a collection together beginning with some rather fun jazzy pieces ('A Cat totally ignoring You'; Baker Street Blues, etc); lots of gripping rhythmic pieces: two tangos, Cha-Cha-Charing-Cross Road, SevenEight; and lots of pieces with literary inspiration by Shakespeare, Malory, R.L.Stevenson, Tolkein, Christina Rosetti... expressive and dramatic. I believe these pieces will appeal to flute students of all ages.
