Footprints in the sand

Footprints in the sand in a reflective piece in triple time and is a combination of a lyrical waltz and a romantic film theme tune. It is intended to give the listener an opportunity to allow their mind to wander freely on to perhaps a future event, a happy memory, a special person or occasion, a special moment in time or just contemplative thoughts. The piece starts gently (almost minuet like), then builds to a larger waltz theme in the middle in the relative minor. The middle section quietens again, and rhythmic fragments of the 1st section are shared between all instruments. On recap the opening theme is played this time on the piano, and had sustained chords and fragments interweaving, until the waltz theme returns- this time in the Tonic major. The piece concludes with the gentler section again with a final statement of the theme before whispering away. Overall, I have set it to intermediate level, but lots of areas are quite managable for lower levels. Onthe youtube link there is the full score for you to assess suitability.
