On May 12, 2018, I organized a Mother’s Day Eve Concert. The evening featured music in celebration of moms; songs that we knew our mothers would like and this new work. I composed this work for friend and colleague, Benjamin Schoening, lyric baritone. This work is cyclical in that each of the movements use poetry on or about Mothers. The mood of the entire work is either reflective or high energy-hopeful.
Vocal Range: D3 - G4
