Mike Tomaro has created an interesting chart at the advanced level that alternates between a Brazilian samba and a funk style. A strong melodic statement and an exciting ensemble feature lead to a soprano saxophone solo. After the solo, a call and response between the trombones and the band adds a unique twist. This tune features a soprano sax lead (with an optional alto lead part provided) and there are optional doubles for flute and three clarinets. The trumpets double on flugels as well. This is a worthy addition to concert and festival programs for experienced groups!
