Four Songs of Solomon

The complex and various emotions depicted through both explicit and metaphorical references to sexual intimacy in the poetry, from the biblical Song of Songs, are enhanced by the musical setting for tenor and orchestra, which expresses the ecstasy experienced in an intimate physical relationship between two people and/or the intimate relationship between God and God's people.
