This piece was written for the 2025 Amery, Grantsburg, Luck, Siren, and Unity 48th Annual Elementary Band Festival. It is also honoring my friend Bryn Anderson as she celebrates 38 years as a music educator in the School District of Siren, WI. I wanted to do a piece centered around the pentatonic scale which is used in a lot of children's folk song. After doing a lot of research, I landed on "Oh, Freedom" and "Kumbaya" which will be familiar to many students.
