From Folk Songs to Masterworks

Pedagogically, the system of presenting masterworks in this collection takes its impetus from folk songs and games that children love to sing and play. Categorized by grades, each of the 77 lessons includes art music examples as well as background information and abbreviated examples of music scores. The four CD recordings are incorporated for classroom use. Song lists, games, a glossary of terms, and CD information are also included.
