Commissioned in 1958 for the 200th anniversary of the incorporation of the town of Amherst, Massachusetts. This edition includes a preface by Carl B. Schmidt, family friend and historian of Thompson's works. All seven country songs are now gathered here into one collection. Specific instrumentation options are also included.
