concert in 2016, I immediately reached out to work with her and set this text. Oddly enough,
what I presumed would become a long endeavor became merely four consecutive hours of
writing. Due to the text, this piece nearly "wrote itself" and while tonal, also draws upon
modern cluster harmonies."
