Gib Frieden!

The choir book for the Catholic youth choir festival Pueri Cantores 2023 in Münster offers a diverse selection of choral settings and songs based on the motto of the choir meeting, "Give Peace!" Highlights from the book include the motto song O Lord, Give Peace. Da pacem, Domine; a newly created mass composition; and other choral music arranged and composed especially for the choir festival. In addition to popular perennial favorites for the accompaniment of peace prayers, a wide range of diverse works is included: Peace songs, English-language choral music, and polyphonic song settings as well as familiar and new spiritual songs. Most of the compositions are set for four-part mixed choir. The newly composed setting of the ordinary and the motto song can also be sung by two-part children's and girls' choirs with organ accompaniment. Additionally, the diverse compilation of songs and chants offers numerous suggestions and ideas for choral work beyond the choir festival.
