Glenda and Lauree

With text taken from an episode of StoryCorps on NPR about the love between two people of the same sex at a time when it was not accepted by society, this work meshes musical ideas with the spoken word to tell a story that ends sadly, wistfully, with wisdom gained through pain. The work combines a solo, solo with choir, and choral parts alternating throughout.
