God of Amazing Grace

Two hymns focusing on grace are interwoven in this arrangement: God of Grace and God of Glory (Guide Me, O Thou Great Jehovah) and Amazing Grace. After a fanfare introduction with LV's and shakes, the first section is a joyous and lively treatment of CWM RHONNDA utilizing an exciting malleted accompaniment. A gentle, flowing section follows, antiphonally incorporating both tunes over a moving LV bass line, and employing handchimes as an option. The final section is majestic, triumphant and fully chordal, and closes with a brief return to the malleted accompaniment used earlier. This unique arrangement is suitable at most any time during the church year, for concerts and for festivals.
