God Rest Ye Merry Variations

A holiday Theme and Variations for Concert Band. This piece is appropriate for a very good high school band, or any level above, but is also written with smaller bands in mind. There are single parts for all wind instruments, except for clarinet and trumpet which have two parts. Six percussionists are needed. The traditional English carol provides the opening theme, which is followed by seven variations. Variations include a 6/8 time version, a jazz variation, an inversion, a short fugue, a percussion variation, a waltz, and a closing rock variation.
