Hildegard of Bingen, (1098-1179) also known as Saint Hildegard and Sibyl of the Rhine, Bermersheim vor der Hohe, Germany                                                                                                                                                                                                                               A German Benedictine abbess, writer, composer, philosopher, Christian mystic, visionary, and polymath. She is considered to be the founder of scientific natural history in Germany. Her music is in liturgical song style for solo women’s voice in antiphons, hymns, sequences and repositories.  Sung in, just intonation, the soaring melodies are sung for worship that resonates the deeply spiritual intention of her music.
