Green Eggs and Funk

David Gardner's funky original features a straight-ahead groove with the rhythm section establishing the feel right at the top. The ensemble continues with a melody and counterpoint figures that are infectious. There are four written or improvised solo options for alto, tenor, trumpet and trombone with the ensemble supplying backgrounds that are dynamic and stylistically effective. A great rhythm-section-only break after the solos features the bassist laying it down with a funky feel. Optional parts are included for expanded instrumentations. Green Eggs and Funk will be fun for players and audiences!
