Building on the popularity of Norwegian choral music, this traditional folk dancing tune utilizes "Tralling", which is a style of Norwegian folk singing that uses improvised vocal syllables inspired by formulas in fiddle playing. The title can be translated as "The Dark Deep", which refers to the low pitch in the fiddle part present at the beginning of the piece. The singers, both corporately and individually, are free to choose their own solutions to the fiddle formulas, and the notated music should be treated only as a suggestion. Fun, fast and furious!
