Guardian of the Glen

A work for advanced concert band inspired by the music of Scotland. A broad, resonant woodwind chorale sets the tone before the brass take over with their own statement, leading into a driving 6/8 Scottish reel. A key change ushers in a slower, more reflective middle passage with trumpet and horn solos to add expressive highlights along the way.  It's a strong fit for advanced high school or collegiate ensembles looking for a unique piece with substance and musical variety.
