David Carr Glover Method for Piano

The David Carr Glover Method for Piano is the second piano method produced by David Carr Glover, this time in collaboration with author Jay Stewart and first published in 1989. The entire series is composed of lovely originals by the authors including arrangements of folk songs, with just a a few arrangements of classic melodies by such composers as Bach, Mozart, Haydn and Joplin. Beautiful, innocent, child-focused drawings are found throughout the series. Pre-Reading "Lessons" is best suited for the young beginner (ages 6-7). The student is involved in making music immediately and plays tunes on black-key groups for the majority of the book. It moves logically to reading tunes in middle C position, using finger numbers above notes. The following Level, Primer, introduces the student to reading from the staff.
