Have You Herd?

Paying homage to the most exciting of the big bands, Woody Herman's Thundering Herd, this chart is a fun blues with lots of solo opportunities. There's ample space for soloists to stretch out and enjoy blowing over F blues changes. Piano, trombone and tenor have their say, followed by a big sax section soli. More solo spots follow, this time for trumpet and alto, before the whole band takes it out, punctuated by big fills from the drummer. A tribute to Woody is never a bad thing! Very highly recommended!
