A relatively easy little march "Hawkes' Jubilee" was written as a gift for Mr. Erwin's good friend Arthur Hawkes. It contains some bits of two of Mr. Hawkes' favorite songs to sing: "A Mighty Fortress is our God" and the Irish song "The Wild Colonial Boy". The two performed both of these tunes together many times and it seemed fitting to pair the two in the body of this little march as he also had an affinity for concert band marches. Much in the style of Karl King "Hawkes' Jubilee" is a light bright crowd-pleaser that get the feet moving and the hands clapping.
