Hip Hug Her

This tune is an excellent example of classic RB funk from the influential '60s band Booker T.  the MGs. With its infectious style and riff-based melodies, this tune never grows old. The solo section in this easy chart can be played by a trumpet soloist or the entire trumpet section. It's playable with optional reduced or augmented instrumentations, and includes written-out bass lines and piano voicings. Pure fun for young jazz bands and their audiences! Highly recommended!
