Rise Up, Shepherd

This is an exceptionally fresh, tasteful arrangement of the traditional spiritual! The incisive piano accompaniment creates a wonderful inner rhythmic feel that gives incredible energy to the voice parts. In contrast, the melodic phrases in the voices are drawn out a little, to let the accompaniment shine through. There's even some gospel flavor as the piece progresses to a quiet ending on "follow." Highly recommended!
