Hold This City All Night

Tarik O'Regan's Hold This City All Night for mezzo soprano with piano is a ten minute work based on the three poems by Alice Goodman. The work is comprised of three movements: To Peter, who is painting a map of the world; Excerpt from "The Chemical Blonde"; and As with the commander of an army, so is it with the mistress of a house. Commissioned by Ludlow Song for Ludlow English Song Weekend 2017, and first performed by Kitty Whately (mezzo-soprano) and Iain Burnside (piano).
