This hymn concertato is scored for SAB choir, organ, congregation or assembly, and optional trumpet. It is majestic and festive in nature, with interludes that occur between each stanza. The third stanza is scored for the choir and organ and vividly paints the text. The concluding four measures of the stanza are a cappella. The last stanza includes congregation, organ, trumpet, and vocal descant. The overall range of the trumpet part is reasonable and does not require a professional player to be successful.
