In his early days, John Philip Sousa was a struggling musicians who had to pad out his income, playing violin in various pit orchestras, and writing small parlor compositions, a style that was very popular in pre WW 1 in the late 1800's, through WW1. Sousa arranged this Sir Henry Bishop, John Henry Payne song, for parlor piano. I adapted it for a level 4 woodwind quintet. This is ideal for a recital, or perhaps an encore selection.
