All parts are written to be easily performed by high school or advanced middle school ensembles. Double reed parts are cued in other instruments.
Solo parts are written that the piece may be performed by 2, 3 or 4 hornists. A cadenza is written for either natural or valve horn soloist. A substitute cadenza may be used: longer, more technical, solo or soloists, etc.
