I Cry to Thee

"I Cry to Thee" was composed after learning that a choir member from a previous church had committed suicide. I call her Dee. Dee suffered from what is now called schizoaffective disorder bipolar type. To capture the constant emotional changes, the music fluctuates between major and minor tonality changing meter and tone sometimes in unexpected places. This setting of Psalm 130 is set for Mezzo-Soprano soloist and piano, organ or orchestral accompaniment.
