This piece, written for the Valencia International Performing Arts Composition workshop, is a part of my "I need" series, a series of pieces written as snapshots of my life, to remind me what I (or people dear to me) needed at that time. This piece explores the feelings associated with talking to a family member that you don't enjoy being around. You know you should want to spend time with them, but all it does is drain you and make you want to see them less.
