This lovely anthem, written by newcomer John Hudson, begins with a simple and reflective statement of dependence on the Lord. The opening statement flows easily as supportive parts are introduced into the expressive choral line to achieve a nice balance of unison, two-part writing, and four- part writing. Hudson's setting of the late 19th century hymn tune calls for a high level of feeling and musicality to properly communicate its graceful and delicate texture. This piece will provide an outstanding backdrop for any worship service.
