I Sing

This piece sets a text exploring how singing can be shaped through gesture, "inspiration, wit, and will." With minimal divisi, the vocal parts explore ranges from low to high in rich harmony, making the work accessible to advanced high school groups, college choirs, and community ensembles alike. The instrumental obligato line is woven throughout in response to the vocal lines, adding an expressive timbre.
